Andy Mattern (Stillwater, OK) received his BFA in Studio Art from the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, NM and his MFA in Photography from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN. He is an Assistant Professor of Photography & Digital Media at Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, OK. His work has been exhibited at the Lawndale Art Center, Houston, TX; the Candela Gallery, Richmond, VA; Center for Contemporary Arts, Santa Fe, NM; and Photographic Centre Peri, Turku, Finland. Mattern has received multiple awards for his work including the Artist Initiative Grant, Minnesota State Arts Board; Printing Fellowship, Photo Center NW, Seattle, WA; and the triennial Art365 Grant, Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition.
