Sean P. Morrissey (Fayetteville, AR) holds a BFA in Two-Dimensional Studies from Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, OH and an MFA from the University of Nebraska, NE. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally including exhibitions at the Dedalo Center for Contemporary Art, Castiglione, Italy; International Print Center New York, New York, NY; Bemis Center for Contemporary Art, Omaha, NE; Joel and Lila Harnett Museum of Art, Richmond, VA; and Biennale Internationale d’estampe contemporaine de Trois-Rivières, Trois-Rivières, Canada;. His work is included in several permanent and private collections, such as the Sheldon Museum of Art, Lincoln, NE; Weisman Art Museum, Minneapolis, MN; and New York Public Library, New York, NY. Morrisey’s current research focuses on the contemporary American landscape dealing with land use, identity, and consumerism. He uses both traditional and non-traditional techniques to create works on paper. He is an Assistant Professor and Area Head of Printmaking at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, AR.
