Motonori Shimizu (Japan) was born in 1980. After completing his university studies in Economics, Shimizu began his professional career as a businessman. This was when he started to develop an interest in photography and set out to learn the tricks of the trade by himself. Shimizu’s first project, Unstoppable, was created in 2012 and was exhibited at various international galleries and events in Australia, Russia and the United States. The project also received a Bronze prize at PX3 and an Honorable Mention at the International Photography Awards. Shimizu’s most recent project, Individual, was inspired by the things left behind by the victims of the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake.
