Conversation: Mark Thomas Gibson + William Villalongo
October 25, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Presented in-person at Tyler School of Art & Architecture and on Zoom
In conjunction with The Print Center’s current exhibition, A Kaleidoscopic View: Recent Prints from Graphicstudio (on view through November 12), Tyler School of Art & Architecture will host a conversation between alumnus William Villalongo (MFA ’01) and Assistant Professor of Painting Mark Thomas Gibson as part of their Critical Dialogue Series. A Kaleidoscopic View features prints by both artists and highlights boundary-pushing artwork created at Graphicstudio, an experimental printshop at the University of South Florida. Gibson and Villalongo will discuss what draws them to printmaking in their own work, as well as in their co-curatorial project, Black Pulp. Print Center Executive Director Elizabeth F. Spungen will moderate the discussion.
