The Print Center is pleased to present solo exhibitions of new work by Daniel W. Coburn (Lawrence, KS), Julie Anne Greenberg (Raleigh, NC), and Jacob Koestler (Cleveland, OH). These artists were selected from the 420 applicants to our 92nd ANNUAL International Competition. The jurors for this competition were Keliy Anderson-Staley, Assistant Professor of Photography and Digital Media, University of Houston, Texas and Katherine Ware, Curator of Photography, New Mexico Museum of Art, Santa Fe.
The three artists selected for these exhibitions take a critical view of the role of the printed image in their work, from images by Coburn that challenge the tropes of the family photo album, to Greenberg’s use of screenprinting as a means of creating and breaking apart patterns, to Koestler’s use of a mixture of different print media to capture the relationship between observation and final image.
